EDGE Golf League FAQs

Do I have to play all the events?
No, you don’t have to play in all the events! The EDGE Golf League is designed to be flexible, play in as many or as few events & tournaments as you’d like. However, the more events you participate in, the more points you can earn toward the Tour standings and a chance to qualify for the Tour Championship.
What is the playing format for each tournament?
Most events are 18-hole, net stroke play format.
What is the playing format for each tournament?
The EDGE Golf League leaderboards are based on a points system. Players earn points based on their performance in each event & tournament throughout the season. The better you finish in an event, the more points you accumulate. At the end of the season, the top 12 players in the Tour Standings will qualify for the Tour Championship, where they’ll compete for the ultimate title.
How do I post my scores?
We use 18 Birdies Live Scoring for every event & tournament, making it easy to post your scores in real-time.
Do I need an official GHIN to compete?
Yes, an active USGA Handicap Index or 18 Birdies Handicap is required to compete in the EDGE Golf League. If you don’t have one, we recommend getting one as soon as possible to ensure fair play. If you don’t have an official handicap, you’ll be required to play as a Handicap 0 (scratch golfer) for scoring purposes.
Tiebreakers
If there's a tie in net scores on our leaderboards, we break it using tiebreakers based on the net score of the most challenging handicap (HDCP) hole. We work our way backward from the hardest to the easiest in case of ties.
Out of Bounds/Hazards
We utilize the Stroke and Distance out of bounds rule. For more info please click here for a quick video: Additional local rules for each event will be posted before the event.
Tournament Prizing
The prize pool is based on participation and is subject to change based on late additions and withdrawals.
